The PFE Advanced 10 Outputs is the best-known receiver in the field of wireless ignition technology and a real all-round talent. A true revolution since 2002, the receiver is waterproof (at least IP65) and has an ultra-sturdy housing made of thick-walled, anodized aluminium. This allows the device to be used even in the most extreme outdoor applications. Its small dimensions also make it ideal for indoor use and SFX applications.
The device offers a fully integrated wireless solution. No external radio modems are required. In addition, the function does not depend on external data lines, thus avoiding these frequent sources of error.
For operation, you can use the magnetic pen to access the menu and check or program all values and settings directly on site. The magnetic pen is also used to switch the device on and off, so there are no vulnerable buttons or switches. If desired, a code query can be activated after switching on to prevent unauthorized use of the device. All outputs on this receiver are also fully programmable.
The gold-plated connection terminals accept single wires as well as banana plugs or quick-connect terminals and enable extremely low contact resistance with permanent corrosion protection.
The PFE Advanced 10 Outputs has a plain text display for menu navigation and for displaying all device data (battery values, remaining range, programming, etc.) as well as multi-colored LEDs for displaying all relevant output statuses with different colors (continuity, programming, ignition, etc.).
Based on the resistance values of the connected ignition circuits and the defined limit resistance, the device automatically determines whether reliable ignition is possible and indicates this.
The 24 volt ignition voltage enables the reliable ignition of 14 “A” or “U” igniters in series or 20 “A” or 10 “U” igniters in parallel. Thanks to a special mixture of series and parallel connection, it is even possible to ignite up to 280 detonators per output at any one time.
As the ignition power is not buffered by a capacitor, this receiver is also ideal for controlling solenoid valves and effect devices. With the optional terminal function, all 10 outputs can be triggered multiple times with all 999 channels and an adjustable ignition duration of 0.1 to 25.0 seconds.
The high-performance batteries deliver ignition currents of up to 50 amps. Intelligent charging electronics ensure that the batteries are always kept at 100% availability without overcharging.
Bidirectional communication is possible in conjunction with the PFC Advanced or the PFM Advanced USB radio modem. All relevant receiver data can be retrieved from your controller or PC, e.g. remaining range, battery status, continuity test, etc. The programming of the outputs can also be easily edited remotely. These remote accesses can be carried out with up to 999 devices. In addition, the device can be switched off completely by radio or put into sleep mode and woken up again to extend the maximum operating time of 60 hours to up to 35 days.
A stepper extension is available as an option, offering almost unlimited possibilities. Each output can be provided with an individual delay time. This even allows many different step operations to be performed simultaneously in one device. The step operations can be assigned to any number of receivers. Dynamic speed changes can be easily implemented. The firing delay can be set from just 0.01 to 99.99 seconds. These delay values can be set digitally over the entire range in steps of 0.01 seconds.
An optionally available matrix module enables the creation of a fully equipped receiver with 100 outputs. Even when using the matrix module, all outputs can be freely programmed, all outputs are stepable (optional) and the parameters of all outputs can be called up and programmed directly on the device or by radio.
If the battery voltage is too low, the device can be switched off automatically to protect the batteries from deep discharge. The multifunction sockets can be used to connect an external power supply. An RS485 interface for optional cable management of the device is also available.
The devices in the Advanced series are fully compatible with the devices in the Profi series. The option of software updates allows you to keep your ignition system constantly up to date.
