The PFC Advanced was developed to control pyrotechnical shows. It is a completely self-sufficient ignition device that users worldwide have been relying on for more than 15 years. Thanks to the various interfaces, this device is also ideal for complex musical fireworks and multimedia shows.
The device offers a fully integrated wireless solution. No external wireless modules are required. In addition, the function does not depend on external data lines, thus avoiding common sources of error.
The PFC Advanced has the following interfaces for integration in multimedia shows: SMPTE Timecode and DMX512.
The device is equipped with a very large, illuminated LC display that is operated by touch. The menu navigation is graphical and multilingual with symbols and plain text. Illuminated function keys ensure convenient operation.
Info texts can be assigned manually to each ignition channel or loaded from the PC via USB. This allows you to see which effect will be ignited next at any time. It is possible to ignite manually, automatically (ignition script) or semi-automatically (mixture of manual and ignition script). Spare channels can be triggered at any time in all ignition modes.
In manual ignition mode, all ignition channels can be called up quickly and directly via a graphically displayed keypad. A “death man switch” and the option of suppressing an ignition channel while the automatic ignition script is running provide additional safety.
In addition, the “Pause”, “Cancel” and “Ignite next channel immediately” functions can be used at any time during automatic ignition. Ignition scripts can either be entered manually or loaded into the device via the RS232 and USB interfaces.
The smallest time interval between two ignition channels is 0.3 seconds, the largest 999.9 seconds. To ignite effects at even shorter intervals, we recommend our stepper extensions for the PFE Advanced receivers. Here, the timing between the firing signals can be reduced to just 0.01 seconds. Even the most extreme applications (fast and long step sequences, dynamic speed changes) can be realized without any problems.
An external ignition input makes it possible to trigger external ignitions. Buttons, light barriers, rip cords and much more can be used as ignition triggers.
Power is supplied by a powerful rechargeable battery, which enables an operating time of up to 6 hours. The status of the built-in battery is displayed precisely. The device can also be supplied with an external power source via a multifunctional socket. Intelligent charging electronics ensure that the battery is always kept at 100% availability without overcharging.
No connection to a PC is required for ignition. For you, this means no laptop that is sensitive to temperatures, humidity and vibrations, no unstable operating systems and no error-prone cable connections!
When using receivers from the Advanced series, all relevant data can be conveniently queried and programmed on the PFC (bidirectional communication).
The RS485 interface also offers the option of communicating with the PFE Advanced 10/100 Outputs via cable.
